Our Little House Full of Cheer
Back in May, my husband and I bought our very first home. These past months have been spent filling our home with family heirlooms and wedding gifts! Every day our house has felt a little more like home and we were filled with joy to host our first party together. A family Christmas with both of our immediate families!
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is filling stockings with little meaningful gifts. I loved picking out Nick and I’s first stockings. Pottery Barn has so many options, but I knew these mismatched tartan socks were perfect for our decor. While our home doesn’t have a fireplace, our antique china cabinet filled the role of a mantle just beautifully.
With a home dressed to the nines, we put on our party clothes and greeted all of our favorite people. We decided to celebrate with lots of champagne, wine and a traditional Christmas ham.
This wrap skirt from J.Crew was the perfect option for our dinner party. The wool silhouette is perfectly traditional, and with a little bow on the side I couldn’t resist. I pulled the look together with a warm and comfortable cashmere sweater and a lovely chain link necklace.
As Nick and I grow into our new home together, we look forward to opening our door to many friendly faces and sharing the joy the holidays bring. Merry Christmas!
